Shifting paradigms one hip at a time
Course Descriptions
DRILLS - Borrowing from drills learned from the top instructors, we will work on specific isolations and combinations to build and improve
muscle memory, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and strength. The goal in this class is through repetition, to develop clear muscle
articulation so we can call upon an arsenal of finely honed movements when needed. Plan to sweat and feel like you've worked out when you
leave. Sabylla will  literally be the drill sergeant you wish you had at home to provide the motivation and encouragement to practice the way
you should!!

THIS IS NOT A TECHNIQUE class. Not recommended for individuals unfamiliar with BellaBelly Level I technique.

Contact the Tennessee Conservatory of Fine Arts
at 865-560-9392 for details regarding class fees and registration.

NORTH

Where is the North Studio??
2906-A Tazewell Pike, 37918 (across from Party City)

If you know where Tazewell Pike is, you're in business! If you don't, imagine the area of town where Broadway
crosses I-640. If you are ON Broadway, heading AWAY from Downtown, you would be in the right-most lane that
veers off to Tazewell Pike. The driveway to the little office park housing the TCFA Studio is literally the first right
you take coming off of the ramp from Broadway. You'll see Party City, CC's Pizza, Atomic Pawn and SunTrust
bank on one side of the street; TCFA is across the street! Good luck!

Bellydance Basics – (aka Girls Night Out Bellydance) --- a fun and fast-paced overview of fluid and percussive bellydance moves for
new bellydancers. Ideal for groups of friends, mother/daughter bonding, anyone looking for a no-pressure, social activity that will get you out
of the house, out of the office and out of the mundane -- moving and laughing and making new friends. New material is introduced each week
of the 8-week session. Previous material briefly reviewed as time allows. No experience needed. Students may repeat this class as many
times as they like!

Bellydance I  -  An introduction to and progressive skill building of technique starting with foundational posture,  upper and lower-body
isolations, traveling steps, and handy combinations. No previous dance experience required.

Bellydance II --Picking up where Bellydance I leaves off, continuing the focus on learning and polishing basic isolations, adding
increasingly difficult  traveling steps, combinations, layers and levels, and introducing props such as zils, cane, and veil. Drills and
conditioning specific  to the rigors and demands of bellydancing are introduced. By permission of teacher.

For Bellydance I & II, students are provided with a syllabus at the beginning of each session describing exact course content. Bellydance
students may ask to be evaluated at anytime to determine if advancement to another class level is appropriate or just to assess areas of
needed focus.

Bellydance III - Intermediate level choreographies incorporating skills mastered in Bellydance I and II, and introducing concepts of
costuming, staging, performance persona/presentation and professional ethics.
With the focus on choreography, Bellydance III students have the opportunity to purchase detailed choreography notes and videos - normally
available within the first 2-3 weeks of the session. Cd's are also made available. Discounted bundle rates are offered.
While not required to participate, Bellydance III students may indicate interest to be considered members of the BellaBelly Student Troupe
and may be offered occasional opportunities to perform at public events. It is
strongly recommended that students in Bellydance III continue to
take advantage of other skill building classes such as  Bellydance I, II, Bellydance Fitness, or private instruction with Sabylla.

Where is the West Studio??
8705 Unicorn Drive

If you know where the ORNL Credit Union on Kingston Pike is, or Rothschild's, or Event Rentals, or
Grayson Pontiac Jeep --- you're ahead of the game. TCFA is in that vicinity; it can be seen from the
interstate but not the road it's actually on!

8705 Unicorn Drive is located behind Jim Grayson Pontiac (between the Cedar Bluff and
Bridgewater exit off I-40/75).  Take either Martinwood Road or Kings Way off of Kingston Pike and turn
onto Unicorn Drive.  The Conservatory is located in a one-story building that actually faces AWAY from
Unicorn Drive. To get to the front door, drive through the parking area that faces the interstate.
Depending on the road you take (Martinwood or Kings Way), you'll either see Knoxville Blue Print and
Rack and Run, or Spine and Sport and Chef Dave's.

TCFA is the second door from the east end of the building. Good luck!
